12-week courses


Painting Studio and Mentorship ONLINE (Class A) - Peter Chan
*All mediums, including but not limited to: Acrylic, Oils, Watercolours, Drawing, and Digital

In this program, Peter will be teaching and mentoring artists of all levels in the Toronto region looking to improve their art skills.
Classes are tutor based and will be catered towards the student's current skill level and personal interests. Students can choose to learn in a variety of mediums including but not limited to Oil or Acrylic Painting, Drawing, Digital Painting. There is a heavy focus on building strong fundamental artistic skill to apply to any medium and any field relevant to drawing, painting, and design.

Due to current city restrictions, this class is ran via ZOOM Online. Upon registration, Peter will be in touch to set up the first class with the student. They will be sent an online link upon registration beginning the first class. On a weekly basis, students are given suggested exercises and homework to improve their painting skills and technique.

Students are encouraged to bring in their personal work and homework for professional critique and advice. 

*This class is for students of all levels from beginners to professionals.

Saturdays Afternoons 2:00pm - 4:00pm

"Peter Chan is a Canadian Artist working in Toronto. Chan received his BAA from Sheridan College in 2008. His paintings has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in cities such as Paris, Hawaii, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Montreal and Toronto. Chan is currently an instructor at OCAD University, Sheridan College, and Seneca College. His work has recently been included in the 2018 collection of Art with Heart Auction at the Art Gallery of Ontario and featured in The Globe and Mail newspaper in 2017."

Weekly Class Cancellation Policy

  • If Studio West cancels a class, student will receive 100% refund.

  • Students may cancel more than four weeks before start and receive a partial refund

  • Cancel five days or fewer start date: 0% refund, but credits may be given under extenuating circumstances

No refund or credit is given for student absences during the course of the workshop.
